Beautify backdrops
ShippedDGgdarko1 September 2026
Summary
Make a raw screenshot presentable in one click: set it on a solid, gradient or wallpaper background with padding, rounded corners and a soft shadow. Ready for docs, slides, posts and READMEs, without a detour through another app.
What you can do
- Click Background in the editor toolbar and pick a preset: Clean Gray, Indigo, Sunset or Aurora.
- Choose a solid color, one of six gradients (or two colors of your own), or one of six soft mesh wallpapers.
- Adjust the padding (up to 256 px), the corner radius (up to 64 px) and the shadow strength.
- Save your look as a preset with the + tile. Right-click a preset to make it the default for every new capture, or to delete it.
- Undo and redo backdrop changes like any other edit, or remove the background entirely.
How it works
- The backdrop sits behind the screenshot and your annotations, so you can keep annotating after you add it.
- Copy, Save and Upload use the finished image, backdrop included.
- Details opens every backdrop option in the side panel; the default preset is marked with a star.
- Your presets are stored with your settings.
